That's very cool. Your retreat sounds like an excellent change of pace rather than just taking a vacation.
It seems like that would be a really tough trade-off -- knowing you're doing a job/career that you love that's very public (ie. politician, actor, etc), but having to give up a certain amount of your privacy and/or working extremely hard to make sure your private life stays as private as possible.
